Whether you're a newbie, or has been practicing yoga for quite some time, yoga strap would definitely be one of yogi's staple. It will help you in terms of stability, alignment, support, and proper posture.
Here are 5 (Five) Yoga Poses good for beginners and experts:
1.) SEATED FORWARD FOLD
If you have trouble reaching your toes, Sukhi Yoga Strap is definitely of great help.
Wrap around the feet and pull the body closer toward the legs. Keep the spine long & lead with your heart.
2.) RECLINED HAND-TO-BIG-TOE
All time favorite pose of many yogis. You can actually do this on your couch anytime!
Lie on your back and stretch one leg up. Wrap strap around the foot and pull it into the body.
3.) SHOULDER & SIDE STRETCH
You’ll want to find the distance that works best for you. The wider the hands, the easier it will be.
Move forward to back, bending the elbows a bit if you need. Also stretch side to side!
NOTE: Be mindful if you have sensitive shoulders or if you’ve had shoulder surgery!
4.) KING DANCER POSE [ADVANCED POSE]
Reaching your toes behind your head is quite impossible to do but with the help of our strap, you'd definitely achieve it gradually.
Stand straight while you wrap it around your feet. Pull the end of the strap slowly until it reached the back of your head. Keep your other foot steady on the ground while maintaining your balance.
5.) BALANCING DRILLS [ADVANCED POSE]
These are hard for a number of reasons, but if you can’t reach the toes, our strap can help.
Wrap around one of your foot and slowly pull your leg upward by 90 degrees.
These are just some of the poses you can use. Stay tuned for more poses you can choose from using a yoga strap. Click here for the full video.
